A fellow modeler once made the point to me that if a modeler claims to be
modeling the
Erie Lackawanna between, let's say, 1958 to 1972, he or she is actually
modeling the EL in
1972!!
This is why I say that the aforementioned poll is completely valid: by asking
modelers
about the LATEST that they model, it establishes a real modeling era parameter
for the
both the modeler AND the manufacturer to refer to.
