I just received one of the "Taurus Products" 20 ft. Ore Car kits today... and I'm not sure what the deal is with the kit, because the label on the end of the box says Trout Creek Engineering, and the large label on the top of the box shows a drawing of "Bentley" (the bull, I guess) and the name Taurus Products which someone has made a poor attempt to black out with a marker. So are we to assume that Trout Creek has bought out the Taurus Products brand? Curious...
But Regardless... ... At first (and second) look, this appears to be an EXTREMELY nice kit!!! The instructions and drawings are VERY WELL done, and the wood parts even have color-coded ends to indicate the correct part the instructions are referring to. In addition to this, the parts are separately bagged (for different stages of assembly) to insure that the parts for each stage of assembly don't get confused with other similarly-sized parts that are for use on another stage of assembly. The cast and/or injected parts appear to be very well made, as well are the etched parts. I am so impressed with this craftsman kit that I may just buy a few more. The link below will take you to the Walthers page for the item, but there is no photo. If anyone is interested in a scan of any part of this kit, just let me know : http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/707-4860 By the way... Taurus Products... or Trout Creek... WHOEVER... also offers other S and Sn3 items.
