Room size is 20' x 30'. Windows have been boarded up with plywood
and ya gotta come through the bottom half of a dutch door to get in.
More than a duck under, but less than a crawl under. Sort of a
severe crouch under. There is, admittedly, a lot of trackage crammed
into the available space. The double tracked mainline is 305' long --
about the length of a football field. Cosmetically, the layout is
nearing completion as the scenery is just about wrapped up. Still a
long ways to go with electrical wiring and computerized Dispatcher
control and automatic signaling, but we are making progress
steadily. Telephone system wiring will go in next week. Then there
is the DCC and decoders, etc. to become fully operational. Not to
mention the two staging yards that extend into the adjacent rooms.
Anyone out there wanna help? Gotta get this thing done before I rise
up to the great roundhouse in the sky! Then I can ride the maroon
Hudsons with Andy M. Cheers...Ed L.
