The VO 1000 did not become an S12. It was replaced by model 
#DS4-4-100O . The big differences in the VO and S series was the open 
grill and multiple stacks on the VO. Also the VO had a GSC cast frame 
while the S-12, built after the BLH merger in 1950, had a fabricated 
frame. There were more differences but mostly internal.
