Hi,
Due to some recently developed eyesight difficulty I am not up to
driving to Baltimore from northern New Jersey. I have been planning to use
Amtrak and still may. However, a couple of my buddies in the Lehigh Valley
S Gauge group volunteered to come all the way up here, way out of their way,
to give me a ride but I won't let them go hours out of their way to do that.
It did occur to me that some of you fellows from Westchester or
Rockland County, NY, or nearby Connecticut might be crossing the Tappan Zee
bridge and coming down the Garden State Parkway on their way to I95 and the
Jersey Turnpike. If so, a two mile or ten minute detour would take them to
my house. If I could bum a ride I would bring my EZ Pass and pay all the
tolls! I hope to go there Tuesday and return Sunday. Some good fellow
might even forward this to the S Trains Group. If any of you feel like
helping out an 84 year old S Gauger please contact me off list at
