For those of you who are interested in hand-laying your own rail...

I have created a new folder in the PHOTOS section, of the groups receiving this
e-mail, that contains a photo of the new S scale Tie Jigs now available from
Smoky Mountain Model Works (www.smokymountainmodelworks.com).

They come in two forms - one with 19" tie spacing for mainline trackage and the
other with 22" tie spacing for branchline trackage... and they can be
daisy-chained together to enable longer sections of ties to be set-up and moved
to the roadbed at one time. Once your ties are stained (or painted), you lay
them in the slots on the jigs, place a strip of tape across the length of them,
then lift the tie and place them on the prepared, waiting roadbed. Let the
glue set a little, then remove the tape.

Quick and simple.
