In answer to the replies received off list - My primary interest is
the St. Louis Southwestern/Cotton Belt in the 1960s. I have lived on
or near the SSW main for 50+ years. I can barely remember seeing the
last days of steam and remember riding the PA powered passenger
trains. I live about 130 miles from Dallas, 250 miles from Houston,
80 miles from Texarkana, and 800 miles from El Paso. I consider
myself very fortunate to be blessed with a wife who is almost as
enthusiastic as I am. I can laugh at my mistakes and have a very dry
sense of humor.
FWIW I started converting some of my SHS cars to code 110 wheelsets
last night. Boy have I got a long way to go.
