Hi All

Here is something I just got from my other lists. If you have not been to
one of these meets I highly encourage it. They are not railroad or era
specific but you will get a stunning selection of models that will inspire
and awe you. They have possibly become my favorite train event, I like them
that much. The meet (Railroad Prototype Modelers) that is in my area is
Bi-Yearly, alternating with the Pittsburgh area. I wish they would be here
every year.

These meets are where a showing of S would be good. John Degnan and Jim King
made their S presence known at 1 of these meets. The attendees are the true
die hard modelers. You may get a convert from the How Ordinary Scale with
eyes that need something bigger.

make that page. I have them done for the NASG conventions and the CJSS Get
Together.

Western Prototype Modelers Meet (WPM)
18th Annual Meet, Saturday October 6, 2007

The West Coast's largest gathering for prototype modelers, now on 
Saturday

Model Display: WPM has 6000 sq. ft. of display space for dioramas and
models! Last year over 145 modelers participated in WPM, displaying over 700
models. WPM features operating HO & N Scale "Free-mo" modular layouts. See
our website for photos of past WPM events. 

Bring your modeling projects, finished, or "in the works". Share ideas &
techniques with fellow modelers; meet new friends. 

WPM welcomes modelers of all roads, all scales and eras!

Clinics/Seminars, in planned order of presentation:

Dave Lehlbach: Pullman-Standard PS-2CD 4740 Cu. Ft. Covered Hoppers:
Variations, Owners, and Usage
Brian Kreimendahl: Santa Fe Trailer, Container, and Chassis Fleet in 1995
Elizabeth Allen: Southern Pacific SD45s – Prototype and Modeling
Andy Harman: Branchline's Heavyweight Pullmans - Building and Bashing

Exhibitors: Manufacturers, photographers and publishers will participate in
WPM. (Exhibitors: pre-registration is required, contact WPM at the phone
number below.)

La Habra Community Center: 101 W. La Habra Blvd. La Habra CA
WPM Meet admission: $15.00, or $12.00 if you bring models to display.

Admission desk opens at 8:30 am, model display area opens 9:00 am, and
seminars run from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. Raffle drawings at 12:00 noon and 5:00
pm. This year's event has been extended and runs through 7 pm!
