Out of fairness to current and past moderators, I make this very brief
reply to Tom's comment below (the moderators have always preferred to
NOT discuss specific individuals on-list, one exception has been to
correct erroneous information). Tom's comment about Ed L's moderation
is incorrect. Putting people on moderation is one of the most disliked
jobs of being a moderator. Ed L was already in trouble with the
moderators when I became a moderator. Shortly thereafter, "the last
straw" occurred, Ed was put on moderation by consensus of the
moderators, and Ed was immediately provided feedback regarding why he
was on moderation so that he would know what needed changing to get off
moderation. I know, cuz I was the messenger.
I stated previously that I think on-list complaints are very
counter-productive, so much so that I have recommended to the current
moderators a policy change, that complaints about the list (rules, other
members, etc.) be cause for immediately being put on moderation unless
the problem is first discussed with the moderators. OTOH, I highly
commend Art's comment below. There are several list members who have a
hard time with written communication. A highly esteemed S modeler told
me about meeting one of these members and was greatly impressed with his
in-person style and knowledge.
Now, before I get in trouble with the moderators, back to the stated
purpose of the list.

¿Can I just moderate one person? There is someone, mentioned in the
complete version of the message quoted above "in pertinent part" (learned
that term from a lawyer) whom I would like to moderate in the same way that
one or more of our moderators loves to moderate my old buddy Ed Loizeaux.

Re: {S-Scale List} ADMIN
I think if we were all sitting round a work bench with beer and pretzels (or
milk and cookies for codgers like me) we would get along just fine. Email
correspondence seems to be a bad form of communication.
