I think if one were to use real dirty (as opposed to crushed or natural 
rock) you ought to run a test first.  I have seen and done it 
myself--used it and later have had the ground crack when it drys out.  
My guess may be the clay content.  I have a few little guys running 
about the layout room but I can't blame the dirt.  I just wish they 
would get organized and do some work around the place--heck they're 
getting free room and board!
