Jim,
We've had this discussion before, but in the opinion of some scale
weight is related to the cube of the scale ratio. Therefore an SHS
stock car I happened to have handy has a scale weight of 98304 lb.s,
or approximately twice the "LT WT" stencil. As for a 2-8-0 pulling
45 cars on level track, I'd say that's about right.
