This time it will work--I hope. Some weeks ago I referred to the green M&StL box cars in the series 4200-5398, even numbers only. Here are some photos taken at the pilgrimage site in Eagle Grove, Iowa, after the C&NW--that's Cheap and Nothing Wasted--had drained the life out of these cars and had used them in their final years in work train service. Anyway, if you take a look, you will see that with a modification to the ends, possibly replacing the ends with a more accurate replacement, you would have a very accurate representation of the M&StL green cars that came from General American in 1952. I think Tom Lennon still has a few decals that are right for these cars. Click on the links below. Tom

This time I think it's working: The photos are viewable. In any case, you can see that with a few modifications to an AM box car, one could have a respectable representation of the M&StL series 4200-5398, even numbers only. Group, Quite some time ago, I referred to the green M&StL box cars in the 4200-5398 series, even numbers only. My friend, Ron, scanned them in for me. If you--and I cannot now recall who was interested--care to take a look, you can see that with some modification or replacement of the ends, the AM box cars will do very nicely. Tom These are the photos you left for scanning. And by the way you left a box car door. Ron __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
