Lets face it "S"cale Guys and Gals, its like trying to who came first, the
chicken or the egg? (Scale or High Rail)
I'll bet even from the beginning, back in the Thirties, there were S scale
modelers.

"As a kid in the fifties I remember the all out war of toy trains fought in the
canyons of New York City, Phila and Chicago. Remember the factory displays from
Lionel and Gilbert? American Flyer absolutely influenced the GAUGE. The SCALE
Model railroader influenced modeling in 1/64 scale."

Yes, Even Lionel gave up the fight when they started coming out with American
Flyer products to satisfy the S Gauge collectors demand for more of a better
product. Have any of us "Chopped up" one of the new Flyionel's?"

My NMRA SCALE RAILS magazine arrived yesterday and in there was a great review
on the Desplaines, Gondola. http://www.desplaineshobbies.com/s_rollingstock.html

For those of you who dropped out of the NMRA, the NMRA Scale Rails magazine is
really competitive. I took notice that of all of the advertising in it, not one
from Kalmbach or RMC. But, MODEL RAILROAD NEWS supports it.

Gee Whiz, I've got to get away from this computer and start to work with my
trains 8>)

Congratulations again, Ron and Ed! et al!
"S"ee Ya,
Bill
