This was my first Carmel/Indy S-scale event....My hats are off to Charles
and crew! Nice....
Thanks to all who brought good for the rest of use to see and
purchases....The best selection
of S-scale I've ever seen......Standard Gauge that Is....I must confess that
I did not purchase,
as I'm still identifying what I want to model in Standard Gauge......I'm
already in deep in
Narrow Gauge.....But seeing let's me know the possibilities....

I enjoyed Doug Evans layout....Built to S-MOD standards....A simple double
track loop
that ran a few trains....Presented a nice image....I think he got a few
invites to other events....
He had a train lead by a Conrail GP35.....That train captivated my
attention...Reminded me
of what I see today....Had I found a scale Conrail GP35 at the event, I
would have purchased
it....The other modern cars I was on the Des Plains table were nice too!

Ah....I did purchase on item....It was a car railer....A sloped board that
one drops a car
on and it rails right onto the track....Comes in Scale and Hi-Rail versions
(like everything
else in S).....I purchased one...well because I never new when I'd see one
again....

Anyway....The small event....What seemed like friends spending time
together....was
a refreshing way to enjoy the hobby....Like many of the local narrow gauge
events
I've been too....I could like this S-stuff....

I'm sorry that I did not introduce myself or "meet" others I've seen on the
list...

Hmmmm What could I build for next year....
