The issue of S-scale decals may very well be solved if and when Herald
King releases its sets in S. But with all the commentary about
cost/return being a major factor, I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.
However, High Ball Graphics ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) may be an even better
option. Although they no longer do custom work, they will produce
their existing lines in S. Their normal one-time fee is $25 to resize
and each sheet then costs $10. Just this week, I ordered some decals
for the Providence and Worcester Railroad (a major regional here in
New England). Their line includes most of the northeast's regionals
and short lines, including some eastern Canadian lines
About two years ago, when they still did custom work, I had decals
made for the Bay Colony Railroad's GP-9's and boxcars. I provided the
photos and within ten days, I had the decals. the decals are still
listed in their catalog, although in HO and O. The quality and color
was excellent.
I've been very pleased with their service and rapid response.
