Howdy Bill and all
Howie will live on in memories and stories for many, many years. I was
just telling some of the local WV railfans last week the one about us at
PittyPats Porch Restaurant in Atlanta in 1995 while attending the NMRA
Train Show. Howie was getting louder and louder as he told the story
of the electric in the ice storm, and interrupting himself yelling for
"Petea, bring some more bread!" Petea, the waiter, was really named
Peter, but Howie had his own way with words. Howie got a lot of
attention from the locals in the restaurant - Atlant may never be the
same. Diane and I still smile about that one.
