Sorry Earl, I have not tried the product on the heavyweights. I
know the product would remove the lettering, but am not sure if it
would hurt the finish. I would do a test on a hidden area that was
painted to determine the effect on finish, if any.
One of the features I like about this product is that it is slow
acting which gives a lot of control over the process.
