I see the hot air pumps are going strong today.

What I was referring to was perhaps using the NASG contacts to talk to the
manufacturer
and then organizing the effort. I did not say ANYTHING about MONEY loaned from
the
NASG.

Having had my whiskers singed a couple of times back in the 1980s, by folks in
the S
community, when it comes to my money, I would trust in the NASG, more than I am
likely
to trust in someone I do not know who is trying to organize a new initiative.

Since Butch H had stated that the company had agree to make O scale versions if
20 could
be ordered, it is not without reason that the NASG could sponsor the project
with its
organizing effort.... like announcing it in the Dispatch and telling people who
to contact
about organizing the order. It looks like a deal that folks in S should not
ignore. I am not
interested in UP, or ATST or NYC (sorry Ed) versions, but I thought folks ought
to know
about the opportunity.

But then again,,,... I could be wrong.

As for S being a place where only scratch builders live.

I choose to kitbash lots of things like most of the buildings on my modules,
but I do not
want to kitbash or scratch build everything... especially when someone will
make me
somethin nice!

Time is money, and I have precious little time.
Some people spend a year on building a flat car.
I am spending my year building a scene.
Both are great things as long as the doer is happy.

So if someone wants to model something and take their time with that effort,
and then
BUY something else .... go for it! At least that person is still active in the
scale.

As for me, I am happy working on my module,
but I still want to buy crossing signals and track signals ready to use.
Guess I won't be able to do that as easy as I might wish... but maybe I will
thanks to all of
the advice I received from the members of this group.

I won't be sad.

I am having fun kitbashing Waelder Gas Works and Daiker Dynamics.

And regarding kitbashing buildings...

Anyone have advice on how I can take an HO kit, such as the Walthers Pier
Terminal
building,
http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/933-3066
and make a mold of the front wall, to make several more for kitbashing. It
cost me $75 on
Ebay to buy one discontinued kit, so making a building like the one shown in
the link
below, would cost a bundle!

Just thought I would add to the hot air on this site on this cold and snowy
night in NY.

Thanks
