OK,

Did I include everything? I knew my first post would start the posts going
in every direction. That was not my intent though. That is why I got the
fire hose out early.

For the record, I have never put anyone on moderation, although I have
thought about. I WILL do it if necessary. I have fought to get someone OFF
moderation because I don’t believe in it, at least on a long term basis. I
or 2 days of moderation should do fine. This person that I helped could
stand up to back me up on this point if he wants to.

I detest censorship as well.

The whole "NASG should do project XXX..." is the first cousin to "I wish we
had" for me. I can't take them. It is like fingernails on an old blackboard
or hearing Michael Bolton sing. You get to pick the analogy. I get BAD
shivers up my spine over it. Emails do not get anything done. I have
accepted that we are generally too fragmented for almost anything to come to
fruition. There have been 1000 "I wish we had" to 1 "I wish we had and now
is it here".

I will state again, that I do not believe that the NASG should be the
impetus for producing ANY new product that did not previously exist in that
form. Financially backing a project with NASG funds for producing a new item
will never get my support. The Pullman project was great for all involved,
but as it was pointed out this was not the production of a NEW item. SUPPORT
the S companies that are already making products. It is fine for the BOD to
urge and possibly promote a new item, but producing and stocking it is
another story.

I truly hope that my tirade here over the last 2 days has clarified the
difference between the NASG and for profit business. I can say that I have
heard the same thoughts from others that would not care to publicly discuss
their opines on the issue.

Thank You,
Bill Lane
