Hi Stan, You might want to look into a lighting only decoder like
the TCS fleetlighter. The neat thing about them is you can set the
markers on either end to be on or off independent of train direction.
They also include some nice flashing effects, etc. When in doubt about
DCC products I always call Tony's train exchange and ask the man....dave
