I'm not familiar with the Kaslo caboose or how it's put together, but
I assume the inner truss rods are the ones giving you problems. If so,
is there any way you can mount them closer together under the center
of the car to provide more turning radius for the trucks? I used to do
this with narrow gauge rolling stock to shorten turning radii.
