Hi Roy...

This is not the first time in S history this has happened. But it
sure can be annoying. The same thing happened at NASG's annual
convention in Denver several years ago. The convention car was
mailed out much much much later (a full year?), but eventually we all
got what we ordered. The BASS club here in San Francisco had a
similar experience with an O SCALE WEST+S convention car -- a PRS
reefer. I think the problem in that instance was incorrect lettering
or painting which was not discovered until the shipment arrived from
China -- or was it from Oregon?. Anyway, the cars had to be returned
and done over again and we all waited and waited and waited......

The one good thing that can be said for club/event business
transactions is that the folks involved are 100% honest and ethical
even if overly optimistic (idealistic?) about schedules.

I've been waiting over 25 years for full length Budd cars in S scale
and have lost thousands of dollars promoting various not-quite-
successful projects to stimulate production of them. My fingers are
crossed for Kaslo's Budd car project after a stuttering startup.
Hang in there...it could be worse. :o)

Cheers...Ed L.
