We are working out some wiring conventions to use and the subject of the suitcase connector came up. Can these be used when you are My experience with "suitcase" connectors is that they are a fast way for a mechanic to collect YOUR money. Drove 30 miles without "low beams" one Saturday evening into Sunday morning because a "suitcase" connector severed the main feed to the headlight circuit. Had been in place several years, lousy connection, ultimately. Ver++++ used them on their vehicle horn circuits, also. GREAT way to lose a horn in a truck. My money has always been on solder or "bugs". Copper bugs are expensive in comparison, not likely to fail 5 minutes before showtime. We use "Molex" style connectors for jumpers from section to section on the PVMR layout. I FOUND the Radio Shack that has electronic parts. We run "busses" under every section, whether that section is tapped into the system or not. Buss ALSO returns into itself, so that IF it is severed, it is fed from the other direction.
