I am not going to spend an hour on this but I feel the need to add comment.
This is not, IMHO, a silly discussion. I believe that questions like this -
and we have had many before - are not intended to criticize anyone for doing
whatever it is that pleases them. This question comes up almost every time we
gain a member who may be new to S but not to model railroading. I raised the
issue several years ago and encountered the same kind of resistance.

The expressions are not intended to criticize others but to lament the lack of
publications that serve S SCALE. This is a legitimate suggestion or comment.
Obviously the market is not large enough for SCALE publications but the need
remains. I think Ed K has suggested a newsletter as a starter. I agree with
him. I believe that S SCALE will grow faster if information about SCALE
related products is available other than word-of-mouth.

By all means let the publications serving other aspects of model railroading
continue. But please allow us to search for other means.

Sincerely

Art Armstrong (this took about ten minutes)

  Subject: {S-Scale List} A cooler rebuttal

I read the digest version of the list and spent a hour preparing a
answer to "it makes me cry". I am glad I got that out of my system, I
will keep it to myself I realize now that there is no need to feed this
  silly discussion.
Don't like what Don prints? He has been printing it for 40 years,
supporting a family, sending kids to college and living a good life.
  MARKET SAYS...... Don is correct!
Bridges not prototypical? You can make a huge list of not prototypical
on 99% of the layouts. Why would a guy who shows that he can see good
detail have a Flyer turnout? Well, maybe because it runs his trains
very well and he can spend time on the other details which are the
parts of the hobby he likes today. Who knows, he might change them out
later. By the way Brooks, if you are on the list, don't bother with an
answer or even to offer to let them see your DVD.
Congrats to the guys working on correcting errors that were on the
decal sets and getting them made in S. Makes me realize that the hour
I spent crafting a rebuttal could have been spent doing some positive
  model railroading. Silly me.
