This is an interesting suggestion from Dick Karnes. I have wondered if there
were any S gauge garden railroads. I have seen so many website and YouTube
videos of garden railroads, some interesting, some not. It may be less
practical for those of us in rainy climates to lay down an s gauge garden
railroad
but I wonder if there are any in California, or Arizona, or whereever?

Build an outdoor (open-air) layout. No size restrictions whatever (except
your property lines). You can buy a lot of weather-resistant electrical stuff
for
the money you won't spend on a layout building, and as a bonus you'll have
ready-made scenery.
