I have a choice between decals and dry
transfers. Which would you use? Why? What are the pros and cons?

Personally I like them both about equally well -- with one exception. When
lettering wood sided cars (scribed siding), I prefer decals because when
applied and dry you can then slice them vertically along the wood's scribe
lines and apply more decal setting solution. That makes the edges of the
decal curl downward into the scribed lines and the "placard look"
disappears. I don't think this is possible with dry transfers, but to be
honest I have never tried to slice a dry transfer. Also, if lettering over
rivets and other 3-D details, decals probably work a bit better. On flat
surfaces, I would think both work equally well. Just one man's opinion.
