I've been chuffing back and forth all evening. My hat is off to SHS -- wow,
what great-running locomotives and great sound.
I am running their sound-equipped F-7 in an A-B lashup and the appearance and
performance is superb. It takes me back to the foggy fall mornings of the
mid-seventies when I used to chase the last of the SOU F-units through the
mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina.
And I love their 2-8-0. I had originally ordered it in DC, but then got the
SHS upgrade kit for DCC. Total installation time was no more than 20 minutes
and the performance has been flawless. Those E-27 B&O consolidations are the
only mainline steam I actually remember -- I used to see them on the old
Cleveland Terminal & Valley sub that ran past the general store where my mother
did
her grocery shopping. What a nostalgia trip!
Highly recommended locomotives!
