Andy:

Have you tried the Reverb effects (CV 161-164, 169 & 170-172)?

How about the Dynamic Digital Exhaust (CV 177 & 178)?

As far as playable whistle, you must have a NCE system.  <VBG>  
Digitrax throttles support the Tsunami playable whistle feature 
(CV47).

Another advantage of the Tsunami over the PFM units is that PFM did 
not have that annoying Fireman Fred (NOT!)  <VBG>
