Hi Bill;
One of the problems with any list is that it can be a lot like a meeting with
no chairman and no agenda. Everybody talks until they are tired of it, no one
takes any action items, so the issue dies with nothing happening until it is
brought up again. Been there at work, it's no fun there either.
It appears Brian is serious about the web site concept, and I don't see a
reason he shouldn't do it. Brian, maybe if you provide us with some format
ideas on how you want article submissions to appear; some specific areas where
you would like/require help and something to show what you think the page will
look like; you can generate some concrete action.
It appears we have a number of active magazines any or all of which can carry
more scale material if we offer it. I plan to check out the S Scale Sig a bit
more. Mr. Bendever is continuing with the 1:64 Modeling Guide, while also
looking for a buyer if anyone is looking for a new S venture. I'm not clear
whether additional help from others would allow him to continue publishing
himself.
I think we would all benefit as well from taking a leaf from the Sn3 folks and
considering ourselves model railroaders who happen to work in S scale, reading
and contributing to the mainstream model press (as Ed and Richard do) as well
as the existing S oriented publications. One thing I have NOT heard is a
rational as to why an additional pure S Scale publication would succeed now
when past efforts have failed.
How's that, Bill?

There are a lot of "we could do" ideas being bounced around. I have yet to
see where anyone stood up with an "I will DO this"... So again "Will the
real SOMEBODY please stand up!"
