Jim,
For some reason, the really bad storms have tracked south of
Minnesota
and then northeast resulting in you getting dumpled on. To Rich in
Iowa, and then our friends between Green Bay an Chicago I only hope
this has given you more time to model railroad.

I find your logic refreshing, perhaps it is because you have been in
the S (Scale, Gauge, Hood, community) long enough to have seen over
and
over; there are people who make things happen, people who talk about
what should happen and people who see something happening then
complain
because it isn't what they think should have happened. The latter
group is divided into two sub groups, the people who have been around
less than 8 years, they mainly focus on complaining on what is
happening now. The people who have been around over 8 years are also
expert at complaining about what has happend so long ago few remember
and fewer care. I do recall one post that refered to the late night
bar room debates. In addition to giving us the liquor lubricated
term "Esh Kale" we benefited from such a wide range of insights and
wisdom on railroading, model railroading, Esh Kale model railroading
and life. No the net will never
fill this void but I doubt many of us could stay up that late
anymore.
Bill's web get togethers might offer an opportunity to kindle some of
this great intercourse if it were scheduled in a bar or hospitality
suite and started before 8:00 in the evening.

Turnout (switch, devices that for divergent routes) I have been
building Fasttracks turnouts and find the number five works for every
diesel, I don't have long wheel base steam. In hidden storage, I try
to use number eights where I need to move long trains in and out and
don't have a great deal of access.

Well enough of this,I have a few projects and an expense report to
get
done before the work week starts. Reality can be such a drag but it
supports my bad habits.
