Darrell, There was an older gentlemen who during the spring would hitch
up a pair of large black horses and go up and down the streets looking
for work plowing gardens--he did this until the mid 60's. His name was
John Petz, a short little guy with a Sherlock Holmes pipe, a golf cap
and a little flask containing homemade wine. We hired him one
year--problem was the two horses and his plow had trouble in our little
back yard garden. Advantage was they fertilized as they plowed!

The folks at Chevron, once sold a horse drawn tanker. With the tank
removed it makes a credible farm/delivery wagon. A great departed
friend of mine, Ken Stanley built several versions using that wagon. I
have seen them at the usual train meets.
