Those are the newer type, used to carry M1 Abrams tanks. The late 1940's - 1960's flats used to carry Patton and M60 type tanks are the design shown here:

Roco made one in HO, we might find an O-27 flat that could be converted if the Buckeye trucks were more readily available.
