Friends, I have just uploaded a panoramic view of my CN&W passenger
train detouring through Madra. Since Council Bluffs/Omaha yards are
still in a bottleneck all the member railroads of the GPNTRR have been
sending their trains that way. Madra is a sleepy little granger town on
the North/South Dakota border served by the Milwaukee and Soo Line
Railroads. Here's the page:

The CN&W train, The Dakota 300, is not much of a revenue producer with
only a RPO and one coach, but it's summer and traveling the dirt roads
of the area is easy and indeed travelers have always been somewhat rare
in that area. They consist mainly of vacuum cleaner salesmen, traveling
gamblers, your's and my aunts, and the occasional revival minister.

If anybody is interested, this photo was composed of three separate
images, put into PhotoShop's merge program. It does a credible job if
you don't try and get too fancy.
