Ed and Darrell,
No need to compromise. Passenger cars were built to a standard roof
profile to insure
their interchangeability. Anyone needing a copy of this profile can contact me
off list and I
will send one out. Forgive me for not reading all the current responses
completely, but I
think your biggest problem will be to match the corrugations on the Budd roofs.
 You
might try getting a couple AM bud cars and splicing them to make a roof master.
 (A
project I am currently working on.) You might work on the Pullman and ACF cars
first
hoping that John Whitmore will finish his Budd cars and you could get roof
stock from
him. As for car sides, I'm not sure if you consider it enough of a challange,
but I think
Laser Horizons might offer some of the sides you need. I haven't checked his
list lately,
but seem to remember some D&LW sides. Good luck. Keep us posted.
