Hi Ed --

I have to set the record straight. You've got it bassackwards. While I
do run a mean BBQ and microwave, Sandie is the real cook. I DO laundry and
ironing, as well as general indoor house upkeep (vacuuming, etc.), but I
ALWAYS do the toilets, showers, windows and outside maintenance of the
building (I don't want her to ruin those expensive fingernails!). We both
do the yard work and car washing, shopping and other domestic chores....

Seriously, while we are both "retired", we have a ways to go until Social
Security and we got bored to death not working, so we both have part time
jobs. I work 3 days/week, and her new job is 4 days/week. This DOES allow
me some leeway for train purchases which I otherwise wouldn't have!

So far, we have done pretty well together with our 35th anniversary coming
in October (and she knew about the trains BEFORE we got married!).

Have fun!

I think Bill Winans cooks meals, washes clothes, and so forth so his
wife can go earn train money. But, to the best of my knowledge, he
doesn't do windows or toilets. Whadda way to pay for your trains.
Ideas there for the rest of us.
