The following is for sale:
Southwind Models B&O EM-1, 2-8-8-4, better than new. This engine has
been reworked by a professional. The wiring system has been replaced
by the traditional and reliable drawbar system. Four wipers have
been added to the tender trucks. The drawbar has been replaced and
the new one has two holes, one for close coupling and the second for
sharper curves. The pop valves have been secured. The white engine
numbers have been replaced with dulux gold numbers. The engine has
been lubricated and runs well. It has been test run only. The
engine will take 40" radius curves.
The price is $2250 plus shipping and insurance. This is $500 below
what I have spent on this engine. The pre-delivery price was $2550
and there was another $200 expenditure for fine tuning the engine. A
payment plan can be negotiated if needed.
