Bob,
I remember that cab ride all too well. We "thought" (?) we were
lucky by grabbing the first in line cab next to the inner harbor. We all
got in before we noticed the driver's headgear and he started pulling
away from the curb immediately as we were trying to tell him where we
wanted to go. His puzzled look and lack of an "English" response made
for some tense moments there. After his "foreign" phone conversation
with his dispatcher (or "operative", can anyone spell orange alert?) he
handed the cell phone to Dave in the front seat to talk to the English
speaking dispatcher to try and get us on the right track back to the
hotel. Whew! Too much excitement for me I'll tell ya!
See ya all in Lowell and have a good laugh over that one. Oh yeah,
and hoist a cold one (Sam Adams?) for Bill and Sandy Winans.
