Hi John;

While I have not converted any Bachmann On30 passenger cars, I have used a
couple of the trucks widened to S gauge as milk car trucks. They are actually a
little short in wheelbase for most passenger trucks in S, although they might
be appropriate for a ca 1900 open platform car that would result from
converting the Bachmann car.

The truck conversion is very easy, the side frames screw to an engineering
plastic bolster. Fabricate a new bolster from styrene, add S wheels and you are
done!

Would the trucks particular dimensions (thickness and shape of the
sideframe) scale out to actually being S scale when the conversion was done,
or would the finished produce still be something still larger than actual S?
