My old layout track work is at least 40 years old in some sections.
The most miserable area is over and beyond the main part of the layout! It has
two crossovers, and another three the switches in that area, for some reason I
call it "Snyder's Junction, " named after a cantankerous model railroad friend
of mine.
All of my switches are power pointed and they have yet to fail me. Except,
sometimes a solder joint will break! 8>)

I use HO Caboose Industries Ground throws and in remote areas, the old NJ
switch Machines, attached to RIX under layout body mounts. Oh Yes, some of Earl
Eshleman's Anderson Turnout links are still operating too!

I do admire the new way of wiring things, but I'm just not up to it I guess!
So, I'm not knocking anything my fellow modeler prefers to do, I wish them well!

Just trying learn something new, that's why I'm on this computer rather than
running my trains!
