Hi All,

As you may have noticed up until the other day, there were a few photos I
took and had posted to the home page of Dan's great B&O layout in the
making. I went down for a visit about a month ago. Seeing it once during
last year's convention in Baltimore was not enough. Dan was a very gracious
host. We came down and took over the joint for a few hours. It was great
that I let my inner B & O out by bringing most of my B & O locomotives.

Dick Lind had some of his 1960s B&O rolling stock there including the I12 I
painted in blue and yellow for him years ago. I hope he remembers to put
that in his will for me like I asked him! Dan was non-committal about
backdating to the transition period. But we were happy to see that my EM-1
JUST fit on his new turntable and easily negotiated areas of Dan's layout
that were in question. So there is no reason now that Dan can use to NOT
backdate! Let's bring on the steam! (:->)

It was a great day. I look forward to going back some time. Dan said visits
like ours inspire him to get things done. If that is what it takes, I am up
surely for it again!

Thank You,
Bill Lane
