Good Sunday evening to everyone. Dan, congratulations on having your
photos posted, absolutely beautiful scene and wonderful looking
models. I didn't realize that anyone out east models other than the
Pennsy.
I saw Ron's post about the Mullet River kits, you may think 90.00 is
a steep price for a kit but I have the SOO Kit well on the way to
built and it is beautiful, well engineered, parts fit great. The
instructions are very complete. I would only raise two small
issues. One is that there could be a better system of pointing out
on a drawing what the instructions are calling each piece and two,
the model cries out for super detailing and the drawings cannot
help. I asked Glen at Mullett River for more information and he sent
me five great photos then I found anvintage SOO wooden caboose in a
histoical park that could be photoed and added another 10 detail
photos. I have also found that there are two other wooden cabeese on
display in a museum in Wisconsin and have a couple of photos of
them. Now I feel confident that I can finish the kit to the
standards it deserves. I don't expect the kit to have all of these
prototype images perhaps just a link to historical society or other
sites that could help. If there are any others building the SOO
caboose in S, I would be happy to share my photos.
Well John Prior is back in town, dang the luck, I hate to miss a
convention that John is in country for. With him around, I can count
on at least one person acting more disreputably than me. John, I am
also counting on you keeping Mr.Thompson in good spirits, perhaps
give lovely Robin a few hours off duty to relax and not have to watch
after Don.

Have a good time at the convention,

Ken Zieska
