Dear Bert,
We use Lenz gold decoders with no problems. But, you cannot directly plug
in any decoder into our F units. Remember the 180 ohm dropping resistors
needed for the 5 volt headlight, numberboards and Mars light. Bill Clark
designed a small board that plugs into our sockets that has the resistors and
the gold and DSX decoders plug into. We sell these for assembled $24.95 or $15
as a kit.
