Beginning in 1972, FMC delivered the 5283 cu ft double door to the following 
roads
SP, SSW, DRG&W, MNS, MILW, MD&W. The SP and SSW had a combined fleet of 5,840 
cars.
The MD&W cars were leased from Procor and later reassigned to BAR in 1976. The 
BAR version offered by Des Plaines reflects the medium green repaint done in 
1987.

The other FMC, the 5347 cu ft single door, came along later in 1976. The only 
Class 1 railroads to roster them were the B&M, MEC and Rock however thousands 
were delivered to shortline/regional roads.
