And a fine researcher you will be! Let us all know what you discover
and determine. Much of this is hearsay from HO friends. I trust
them, but y'never know for sure until ya do it yerself.

My only concern about sequins is whether or not the reflective
surface has the correct shape. The mathematicians among us will tell
you that a parabola is the specific theoretically ideal/optimum shape
that will take a point source of light and reflect it in such a way
that the light beam is straight and focused -- i.e., lots of parallel
mini-beams of light each coming from a different part of the filament
which is not truly a point source. Finding the exact precise point
where that happens is the tricky part. But if using a non-parabolic
reflecting surface, it is my understanding the light beam becomes
scattered and diffuse and unfocused. I once heard (another HO rumor)
that the MV lens are specifically made with a parabolic reflecting
surface to encourage a strong focused beam of light simulating a
genuine headlight if the light source is positioned properly.
I have not heard any rumors regarding a sequin except what Gypsy Rose
Lee told me one time late at night. But that is another story for
another time. It would be "off topic" for this list.
