Finally dug out the American Scale Models Ten Wheeler. I have attached a photo link. The tender was cobbled from something else, the original "kit" came with a much smaller one made from epoxy. I think I paid the unheard of price of $100 for the kit. It actually built up to a sweet little running engine, but the plastic driver centers eventually wore out and became loose on the axles. Someday maybe I'll dig into it and make it run again, but most likely it will be sold someday as is...
Just wanted folks to know a real product was made between 1980 and 82, whether or not it had any original Nord lineage. I wish I could remember the guys name at ASM, but nobody has mentioned it yet. I recall it started with an 'S'. When the business was sold, it all when to Jan Lorenzen at Locomotive Workshop. As I said before, I don't think Jan ever made any more kits, it just got lost in his multitude of projects... Enjoy...
