Hi Jim, Baseball cards are 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 so the cross section of
the boxes are just a hair bigger than that. The boxes come in various
lengths from about 4 inches long to over a foot. I've found that O
scale boxcars will fit snugly in the larger boxes so S scale cars
should be no problem and could use some addition of bubble wrap or
foam to cushion them.
Stop by a Card shop sometime and check them out, they also offer
different kinds of clear plastic protectors that might be usefull for
cataloging decals in ring binders...dave
