Boy can I attest to that Andre

...one night on the grave yard shift (almost literaly) I was hang'n on the
steps ready to hook up a string. of empties, as the engineer (thinking about
sighting his rifle in for hunting season) forgot to slow down ...I shouted a
bunch and cursed...was tooooo late, took a leap into the darknes hitting the
ground rolling, about 30' down the rail yard...luckily no projecting pieces of
metal or anything else just weeds and rocky gravel. I was very lucky that
nite..would have been a greasy spot on the boxcar bulkhead!....the impact
knocked an air tank loose, water coolant lines were leaking etc....the
"engineer" got a lot of browny points for that one (union job) and was doing
something else after that, the engine had to be shoped. The Great Western RR
