This will answer all your questions. The difference between Mike's 1
and 2 is that Mike's 2 is a little thicker and has no odor. Both are
very thin, the difference is like water Mike's 1 and Lemonaid, Mike's
2. I recommend 2 for use with wood and resin although both will
work. The key selling points are the shelf life after opening, bonds
Delrin and no residue.

Both Dr Mike's are guaranteed not to dry our for 8 months after
opening and longer if kept in the fridge or freezer. I've been
selling it for 7 years now and only have had five bottles returned,
four of which were stored near an accelerator, which is a no, no.
This adhesive should be stored at least 3 feet from and accelerator.
The majority of model kit manufactures, structures, locos and cars all
recommend Dr. Mike's because of the no residue on wood or resin and
the fact that it bonds Delrin to Delrin. Some examples are Banta
Model Works, Stoney Creek Designs, Backwoods Miniatures, Mount
Albert. In fact Stoney Creek builds his models display models, made
up of wood, plaster, resin, metal, styrene, etc. using Dr Mike's, then
stains or paints the sub assemblies. Backwoods Miniatures uses it to
assemble their brass and white metal kits, if soldering is not an
option. Modelers use Mike's to hold gears on axles. As a custom
builder I use it all the time. I've even used repairing antique wood
trim, repairing crystal and a lot of other household items. Check out
my web site, www.ricketyrails.com, for more info. I also sell other
products to assemble kits.
