This week at SHS ..
On Thursday our latest shipment was picked up at the container freight station. We received the following new open top hoppers; Waddell (sold out, but we are taking advanced orders for the next run), C&I bicentennial scheme (both the current 50 star and 13 star flag version, PRR Buy War Bonds, C&O (two new numbers) and 4 numbers of the Buffalo Creek & Gauley were on the shipment. Two of the new USRA rebuilt as 2 bay covered hoppers , 4 numbers of the Central Railroad of New Jersey & two numbers of the Nickel Plate Line were also onboard as well as restocking of asst. trucks, track and other parts . The ART-5400 power packs we include with these entry level train sets will not make it before Christmas and are due in January. A shipment is due to leave this week including more of the USRA rebuilt covered hoppers. The roads that will be leaving are the B&O, NYC, D&H and Reading . The 2008 Christmas car will be ready next month and we expect these in early December. Guy Gola, our graphic artist who has been designing our catalog since 2000 was at the warehouse yesterday setting up the 2009 catalog. It is SHSs 20th anniversary and Guy has designed a special logo to commemorate this event. He will be back next week to put on the finishing touches. We will be out of the office Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week as we will be attending the York TCA Train meet. If you will be there, visit us in the Orange Hall, booths DD4. You will be able to meet Robin, Mike, Bill Moitz and others who help us with our projects. We have a lot of new painted samples of future items on display as well as a selection of items currently available. We will have the new diesel Tsunamis running out on our layout.
