I have four Digitrax Model AR1 auto-reversers, with instructions, for sale.
These list for $30; can be found discounted for $24 or so. These can be yours
for $17 each, including postage. Use them to control polarity of reverse
loops, wyes, crossing frogs. These are sold as DCC accessories, but I don't
think you need to be running DCC for these to work -- They should function on
plain old DC. I think Ken Zieska used one on his pre-DCC layout to control the
frogs on a mainline crossing.
Hook-up is easy -- two wires input from the main track or power bus, two wires
out to the reverse loop rails or the crossing frogs. Screw terminals, so no
soldering is required on these modules.
